Can't be. Gigabyte puts some of the nicest looking heatsinks on their boards (well other than the sniper crap with the ridiculous guns and bullets).

The final heatsinks are those pictured in here: http://www.gigabyte.com/microsite/306/images/model.html

Tiny bit darker than those in the images in the other thread.

I have already filed my complaint on them, however I am told that these new heatsinks are extremely functional, full contact one piece heatsinks, which the Z68X-UD7's heatsinks aren't for instance. THey went to extreme cooling, and yea they have room for improvement, however most of the focus went into the hardware and BIOS this round. I am still excited for their release smile.gif

Full contact means that the heat-pipe is sandwiched between the heatspreaders, thus much more contact, also the heatsinks themselves aren't separate pieces they are one piece.

I will have a proper analysis of them on release date, no worries mate I got you guys. I do agree they aren't what I expected nor what i deem sexy, however ASUS P8Z77 are as bad. But ASUS ROG is good this round, not as good as Z68 ROG, G1 series isn't bad, the G1 Sniper 2 looks good.

I'm so damn lucky. This Wednesday, 2 days later i'm getting paid and i was going to get z68 gene-z/gen3 for my mini beastie build. Then the next thing i know, i see the board is deleted from my wishlist of the online seller and not listed on their website anymore.
So i called the seller and they said that they were selling the remaining stock of those boards and Asus stopped production already of that model and their stock has run out. They'll start selling this card around 6th of April.
That gives me about 5 days to finish my build before Diablo 3 is released. Hellllll YEAH!\
For once, i am not sorry of purchasing something. Same thing happened with 7970 and i learned gtx680 is coming out from someone else at work.
It's gonna be a lucky build i swear!

I'd totally buy this if it wasn't for those damn LED lights for "POWER" and "RESET". I tend to leave my case open and those lights are insanely bright.

Can't you disable the onboard lights and indicators in the BIOS? Pretty sure my old Rampage III Formula could.

Seriously, you're either going to be stuck with a single slot GPU or lose out on a PCIe 4x slot if you go CFX on this baby. That's the limitation with mATX.
As for the mPCIe, if that is two slots I see and you can use both separately...Well, want WiFi? Put a mPCIe wireless card in one and then get one of those mPCIe SSDs for the other, those OCZ Nocti ones. Get a 30GB or 60GB to install Windows and a handful of apps on, or to use as caching for a HDD.

That said, due to the limitations and the possibility of going dual GPU i'm much more likely to go for a ASUS P8Z77-V than this.

Nah, Galaxy have a solution if they make a single slotted gtx 680, then that would be awesome!
