Building Towards Over Clocking

So since im not satisfied with my Pcs oerformance im planing on over clocking it but 1st i want to get my Cooling right..

My case is a NZXT Zero 2 currently using 3 120MM Fans 1 intake 2 Exhaust

And the Stock Cooler on my 1090t Black edition

I have about $150 To spend.

Quietness isnt a must but if you guys can help me make that happen within budget then thats awesome

With your budget your looking at a good air set up h212 or d14 or a all in 1 water loop h100

Don't get an H100. The performance is really not all that impressive. Get an XSPC Rasa 750 RS240 for that budget if you don't mind trying water cooling. You could also try the Rasa 750 RX240 if you don't mind spending a little more. You will get more performance out of the RX vs the RS but both will easily beat any air cooling or all in one loop.

Otherwise I suppose you should get a Noctua DH14 for air cooling.

dont go for clc systems. there are many good coolers like the 212+/evo, the D14 from Noctua, the Silver Arrow /SB-E from Thermalright, Phantek is also very good...well hard to decide i know.

I went with the Archon, its a very good performer in my opinion, kinda like the successor to the True Spirit and only a few degrees to the Silver Arrow or D14. very marginal differences

Not to comfortable with putting Water in my rig. Looking at the hyper 212 i can get it for 25 so .. thats a good enough reason right there

Any reason for the d14 over the Hyper 212?

the 212+ is probably still the best bang for buck. The D14 is better if you want to overclock to the max.

i heard and read a lot in the past that the Gentle Typhoons (GT) are pretty nice but i still prefer to use TY-140´s, they are as big as 140mm fans but with 120mm mounting frame. very good if you like it silent.
