"the Line" Screen Tearing Issue 7970 Eyefinity

Ok guys ive got a bit of an issue here. Ive got three monitors hooked up to my 7970 for eyefinity and im getting whats known as "the Line"
This screen tearing line is not related to FPS/Vsync but from what i have heard is a result of differences in clock timing between the DVI/HDMI signal and the DisplayPort Signal.
I have seen other threads on here that detailed needing Active DP-DVI adapters otherwise one would get screen tearing issues.
However, i Just replaced the passive adapter i was using with an active adapter and the issue still exists.
I also seem to be having a gamma issue one one monitor at all times (shadows/nighttime in games looks horrible on that monitor only) which i have never heard of any other having such an issue in eyefinity.

info: 1st and second monitor are both plugged into the Mini-DP ports with Identical Active miniDP-DVI adapters. the third monitor is plugged directly into the DVI port on the 7970.
Currently the first and third monitor have the screen tearing issue, while the center monitor has the gamma shadow/darkness issue.

Any Ideas?

Well as for the tearing I have never found a solution....for me I had 2 DVI 1DVI-MiniDisplay ..... The one on the mini display always had tearing in eyefinity mode. You are right its the fact that the latency between the connections are different.

No idea about the gamma issue.

My solution was to make the tearing screen a peripheral screen. That way I would almost never notice it in gaming.

Edit: My only idea would be to get another display port connection to make all 3 the same connection. That would probably solve your issue. For the tearing that is.

This is what i would like to do, and Despite the fact that DP 1.2 supports output to 4 displays via one DP plug, currently there arent any inexpensive devices that will allow two DVI Monitors to be connected to one DP output.
The only thing i think i can do is wait and see if sapphire does have a 6GB 6x miniDP 7970 in the works......
