source with chart of 6900 series to compare.

Seems more realistic then the old one.

woah 7870 is looking sick. do u think the 7870 will match the performance of the 6970? the only thing it seems to be lacking in is stream processors.. its coming out for 200 bucks right?

Now we should hope that AMD will not go bonkers with pricing. Afterall this should be a 6900 series at the price of 6800.

the 7850 1gb model is supposably around the 200 mark, as for the 7870 it should perform rather better then the 6970 clock for clock i would think redface.gif

Why would the 7870 have the same memory bandwidth as a 7850?

They use the same memory clocked at the same speed. Memory bandwidth is hardly a problem for this tier of graphics cards and if they can clock the same, why not?

I miss the days back when these were believed to be 90w/120w parts wink.gif I was hoping for 150w, but real-world energy consumption should blow away my GTX560 Ti at least... I'm down for a HD7870 perhaps.

Looks good. Potentially better performance than a 6970 for $300?(7870) I'm in. Unless Kepler has something to say about it...waiting on you now Nvidia..
