Are you saying you don't notice the inconsistency? Only the positive acceleration? I heard the old Xais with pre-1.4.2 firmwares tracked better. Unfortunately i owned 3 Xais (2 rubberized black and 1 RUSE), they all had 1.4.2 and you can't downgrade the firmware.

I'm saying that my Xai doesn't have neg. accel. on cloth pads, only the usuall pos. one, my swipes land where they should (in the boundaries of my skill biggrin.gif).

Ask the SS support, they should send you the FW downgrade tool, downgrades to some very old firmware (1.2... or something like that), dunno if they have 1.3.6 still up on their site but should be easy to get.

edit: 1.3.6 ist still up

Thanks! I will do that just to see if it's true. Not that it would matter much because not even Sensei is good enough for me. Any kind of acceleration kills my aim faster than a kick in the oo biggrin.gif

It's not that i can't aim with it, it's just that i have to focus really hard to control the crosshair and i can't even enjoy the game because of it. It's like driving a car and the force needed to press the gas varies each time. I can control the car but sometimes i forget to turn the steering wheel and ppl die because of it devil.gif

I'm not saying that your Xai will perform better with an older FW.

That's why I wrote "swipes", I can make a 180° turn pretty much as precise and effortless as with my DA for example.
Sure, if I had unconsistent tracking and mayor neg. accel., that would be another story.

So, there is no real reason for me to pay some money for the RAW, if I would have to decide between those 2 I would choose the RAW because of the lower weight (assuming similar performance and general quality).

I don't expect it to. I'm just curious to see if they'll send me that tool wink.gif

Maybe not now, but what will you do when it breaks? The Raw definitely looks like a better deal, assuming it works better or at least the same as Xai. With Steelseries you never know. My guess is they're planning to retire the Xai and Raw will take it's place.
