So today I just picked up my Intel 510 120GB SSD, and I decided to do a fresh, clean Windows install. Well, I just finished and as I checked my SSD usage I was amazed to see that just Windows alone had managed to take up 21GB.
This is a brand new, fresh install. NO drivers, NO downloads of any kind, NOTHING but the original Windows 7 release (not even SP1). I know that I can delete the hibernation file and page indexing or whatever to save a few GB. But when I installed the exact same version of Windows onto my Laptop (Lenovo X300) about 2 weeks ago, the brand new install only took up about 10-12GB or so, not 21GB.
Why is Windows taking up so much space on my sig rig when on my laptop only half as much was taken?

Oh well.
