Ok first test @ 5Ghz. 1hour Prime 95 Ambient 22. I could possibly go 0.20~25V lower. I will test lower volts later. and reseat the block, I dont like Core 0 sticking out like a sore thumb...actually Core 3 as well...

Does anyone know if the X79 extreme 6 has the same layout as any other mfg's board? I'd like to watercool vrm/mosfet/nb/sb but have not seen any specific blocks for this board...

Would this be of any help?

They don't have any solutions beside the "one size fits all" chipset blocks. I was going to go with a chipset block and the MVR40 with the 107.5MM heatplate for my Extreme7.

That's what you'll probably have to do XNine. Although, you may need a different size heatplate.

Thats very odd. It was there when I last looked. Maybe you can ask them, I am sure they will come up with a proper solution.

Hi guys,

I'm going to try and see if MIPS will make a chipset block and a mosfet block for the ASRock Extreme9, 7, 6/GB, 6, 4, 4M, and 3. To do this though, I need you guys who own the boards to please post your measurements in this forum of some stuff. It is fairly easy.

Here is what I need you to fill out, PLEASE MAKE MEASUREMENTS IN MM:

Profile Name:
What # Board:
Width of Chipset heatsink:
Length of Chipset heatsink:
Width of Mosfets:
Length of Mosfets:
Distance between holes of Mosfet heatsink:

Hopefully this shouldn't be too bad!

Here, I will post mine for the ASRock Extreme7:

Profile Name: Jeffinslaw
What # Board: ASRock Extreme7
Width of Chipset heatsink: 50MM
Length of Chipset heatsink: *Can't measure now* (graphics card in the way)
Width of Mosfets: 12MM
Length of Mosfets: 95MM
Distance between holes of Mosfet heatsink: 100MM

Thanks for you help guys!!!

All I want to know is.....Why can't I fill all 8 slots (32GB) and be able to run DDR3 2133/ 1T?". It will let me run it at 2T, but really unstable. So I have to run 1866/1T and it's flawless. Extreme6/GB. It won't let me run 2400 with only 4 slots (16GB) filled either. My ram is DDR3 2000, no errors in Memtest. i think this board has some limitations. Everything else is pretty normal though. Well, other than not being able to adjust past 103/104. Will not boot in this range.

If you have the 7, then our measurements should be the same?
