I like that theres so many SATA´s . And 4 GPU´s...might coming in the Future right now only 2 because Aquacomputer had an new Version of the aquagrafx named kyrografx and these two are not matching in a Tripple SLI Build.

Yeah that many HDD's on a gaming rig is insane to me. Unless you went full SSD LOL

I would rather have a dedicated NAS or Server. I don't even run mechanical drives in my gaming rig; Just two SSD's and I put all my media on a server.

So I've decided to retire my 2700K, and I'm in the market for a 3930K or a 4930K...already decided on a board though, picked up a ASRock X79 Extreme4-M. Should get it within the next few days. wheee.gif

Hello,

i'm new with my i7-4930k. I bought this motherboard and im not able to reach the 4.4 GHz (vcore 1.4v). I spent last 2 days touching the bios but i do not obtain a right set of voltages to set more than 4.3 GHz.

Here is my last CPU-Z that it is obtained with all BIOS options to AUTO (incredible).

http://valid.canardpc.com/y96qu2

This snapshot was done running prime (In place FFT) with 12 threads and max temperature was 66ºC with air cooling (zalman c9900 max blue) after 2 hours.

I'm lost. I need some recomendations to obtain a nice overclock.

Thanks in advance.

So here's one more. X79 Pro - Thermaltake PS - when I "Shut down" windows 8.1, the computer shuts down, monitor turns off, but all the fans stay on.

Anyone have a clue on this one?

I've heard bad power connection to the motherboard, bad power supply, bad optical drive, spyware, bad HDD... I find it hard to believe all these things are causing the same problem.

Are you using fixed or offset voltage? Try fixed if you were using offset. My 3960x is running 24/7 at 4.7GHz using fixed, 1.37 vcore, LLC 2.

What are your fans connected to? Motherboard, directly to the PSU, or to a controller? Are they PWM or voltage controlled?
