Doesn't matter because I can't break 1.35v with the H100. Soon as my credit card is paid off... and I buy a house... and sell my camaro... and sell this HX850... THEN I will go custom loop into my 600t.

haha yah, I probably couldnt either. Probably will submit for RMA, buy a new CPU, and just sell whatever they send me back.

and yes already bought the house, and all credit cards are clear. so makes it a little bit easier for fun little things like this. never had to sacrifice the car though... I would rather sell my house than be forced to give up driving sports cars. which my wife knows ^_^ which is why shes so great and bought me an S5 2 years ago. contemplating upgrade options this summer... gtr is still holding the #1 spot atm lol. actually wanted to give the new supercharged camaro, or the supercharged mustang a try... but my wife is quite anti american muscle... I just cant see myself needing an extra 500mhz on my cpu... The only thing that would benefit is folding, gaming/streaming/editing, never use what I have now. I also do not have a local store that sells CPUs... Nothing that sells anything actually, the closest "computer" store is best buy and that is 30m away.

Why not a ZR1 if you have the budget for the GTR? I love em both, but you diffidently get more car out of the ZR1.

Definitely up for debate I guess? Gtr is also a much easier car to drive. Zr1 is very punishing whenever you make a mistake. No doubt both are beasts. But then again comes the fact that that wife hates American muscle car and always views the corvette as a midlife crisis car. So the zr1 isn't even an option at this point. She did say she will think about it when I get to the age to have a midlife crisis haha. Funny gal my wife.

I can't watch videos youtube at work.

Then again, when was the last time you ran the ring?

American muscle is so much more fun to drive in my opinion, I would take my 95 Z28 Camaro over a mid 2000's STI / EVO, any day. The driving experience is so much more raw, exhilarating and you can't just stomp on it whenever you want because you have to think about what will happen when that back end cuts loose!

They are apples and oranges in my eyes. I love em both, but when given the choice, I go with the ZR1. On top of that, no one where I live would work on a GTR, but I'm located 20m from where the corvette plant is located. tongue.gif

Definitely. That's why there are so many cars and options. Everyone is a bit different. I want to drive everything haha. Lately I've even been eyeing the veloster turbo coming out this summer. So cute lol.

And no ive never been to the ring but I do go to track events a few times a year. So the ring give you a general idea.

okay finally back together... and started running prime95. not bad 1.32 at 4.4 with lvl 3 llc. its hitting 1.328v on cpuz. swapped out for another chip again since I walked in but they were outa the board so I just brought the mobo back. all looking good. will sit at this clock till my VRM waterblock gets here. which should be sometime next week. interesting thing about this new CPU... i have 1 core that runs around 8 degrees colder than all the rest. I guess thats better than 1 core spiking 15 degrees higher than the rest haha.

Also signed up for the owners thingamabob on the 2nd post.

will post up impressions when I get the block. I am honestly amazed that someone even made one for this board. I know that the Asus Gene boards have a huge following and get water blocks for the entire board within a week or so of release. even though its just the VRM block I am really surprised and happy that it was available.

Most ROG boards get blocks. Some high-end ones too but not all of them. You can always get some universal blocks to cool the vrm(s). Koolance does have a uni block with plates. Just make sure you measure the stock heatspreader size of your vrm heatsink to match the Koolance plate. The plate screws on to the block. I used these before on some Foxconn amd boards a long time ago and I'm thinking of getting some for my Fatal1ty to jazz up my loop smile.gif

wow... that looks really good. haha I would honestly have probably just have gone with one of those because of how cheap they are. only 26 bucks. oh well... already placed my order... Well I guess the good thing is that since this board is very dark overall, it would go with the theme better. I will definitely remember to look into these for my future mobos. Would have been good so that I could have kept the block for my future motherboards as well..

*actually its 37ish cause you have to buy the heat transfer plate seperately. still an awesome deal and reusable.
