I run 1900x1200 and my GTX570 doesn't break a sweat. I don't play any GPU heavy games though, most utilization I have seen is 50% while gaming.

yah this resolution is killing my gpu's. I was perfectly fine maxed everything when I was on 1080 on my 480s. now in any graphically demanding games, I am hitting 100% usage all the time + basically riding the vram wall till it just crashes. waiting on a single card that will out perform my 480's in SLI, and then grab 2 of them. hopefully nvidia doesnt make me wait till next year... because I ahve no interested in the 680 or 690 cards...

The 680 4gb will out perform your 2 cards, especially at those resolutions. People don't like the 680 because it doesn't overclock well, but that doesn't make it a bad card. Silly to buy a card that you have to push outside of manuf. specs to get it to perform.

hehe... I dont like it cause it scores 10k on 3dmark11... I want a single card that can perform better. basically if VRAM is a limit, the 680 will perform better, if the VRAM is no longer a limiting factor the 480s in SLI perform better. basically in GPU only performance it falls behind my 480s so i have no interest. My 480s score around 12.5k-13k at 3dmark.

gk110 is the chip I want... I wonder when that will be released. rumor was around september time.

Your going to wait a year, sorry. 680 with new chip just being released, they will stagger out the 690, 670, 660, ect. the next 3-4 quarters to keep their sales looking good each quarter. The way of the business I'm afraid.

I would be looking at ATI to come out with a better card sooner.

Hey guys, just a quick update. I returned my Xeon and will be getting a refund for it. Now the question is, should I go for the i7-3930k (which is 550 euros) OR a used i7-3960k ES (for 700 euros.)

Is the 15MB L3 and 1x bigger multiplier worth the extra 150 euros? Could I break 5GHz with air with the 3960k??
