1.785 is very high so I didnt want to risk it, stock voltage on my ram is 1.35v w/ timings of 11-11-11-28. I'm happy with current setting anyways. AXTU does show the correct voltage with 10-10-10-28 @ 1.50v...this is what weirded me out. I should try bringing it down to 1.35v. I was trying to get lowest latency @ a fairly low voltage...any suggestions? btw speed set to 1666 as part of CPU OC preset

Yeah. I'm a bit concerned about this too. I have the same Samsung ram as you set to <1.4V in the bios and AXTU indicates VDIMM to be 1.665V. I was told here that HWMonitor shows VDIMM, but I still don't know which sensor that is. (Is it VIN1 or VIN3?) The obvious concern is that running a VDIMM over 1.6V or so may degrade the memory controller on the CPU.

What does CPUID say?

Both the BIOS and CPUID do not show VDIMM as far as I can tell.

Edit: Does anyone know which contacts can be used to test VDIMM with a multimeter?

Sorry I should have been more specific and said to use CPUID HWmonitor tongue.gif

As for the contacts, I have no clue for that, but you might want to shoot Sin0822 a PM. Sin is one smart cookie.

Do you know which particular reading/sensor in HWMonitor indicates VDIMM?

Hey all. Some of you have given me advice on how to up my oc some. However, I'm nervous. I set my timings manually to factor specs along with voltage. Voltage is low voltage ram at 1.35. however, AXTU is saying my dram is 1.65. CPUZ says 1.5 on jedec #4, #5 and #6 and 1.35 on XMP-1600. I didn't choose the xmp setting in the bios though. I just set my speed to 1600 and set the timings manually.

ANy idea what voltage is right? 1.5 or 1.35 for my ram? Sorry, kind of a noob at some of this..

Set your voltage to what your RAM specifies, on the box. thumb.gif You can bump it up some if you want to push your overclock, but don't push more than .1-.15v.

Trust what your bios says. My ATXU DRAM says that it is running at the 1.65v I have it set to.

Not sure why it is reporting wrong.

thanks RC...so do I monitor my dram voltage in another section of the bios somewhere? Is there somewhere that gives me real time monitoring or if it says I'm at 1.35 in the option where I set it, that is my real voltage?

I find that AIDA64 is the best software for checking your temps/voltages, only caveat is that it isn't freeware.

I'm not yet 100% stable with my 4.4GHz, I can run prime95 for +16 hours but when I go to sleep and wake up, the monitor will be blank and I have to push reset.

Pretty cool smile.gif

Anything looks llike it can use a tweak?

BTW is my CPU fan speed so high because I'm running a H70 with 2 fans connected to one Mobo slot? so its really approx 700rpm x2? If not these Cougar fans are very quiet, my pc barely makes any noise.

Also do yo think its worth the effort to OC my ram speed from 1666(PC3-13300) to 2000 (PC3-14400). sorry for my noobness, but I just dont know how ram speed translates to system performance, especially since its already slightly OC'd.

Thanks for the help
