Just got my 3930k and Asrock extreme7 yesterday. Working on 4.2ghz @ 1.2v with 12 gb of elpida hypers. Ill tell ya what this is alot different than overclocking on x58

Yeah i had 3 i7 920's one of which was golden ~4.5ghz @ 1.4v and a 990x which did 4.66 @ 1.43v. This 3930k is pushing 4.6 ghz @ 1.25v which is mind boggling

Obviously not completely tested but a good indication of stability

I am running my 3820 at 4.624 with a 1.352 vcore and my hottest core running Prime95 is about 78c max. I see some are getting better temps even at higher voltages. Its not that bad, my hottest core encoding video with all cores at 100% is around 70-72C. It seems others are getting better temps on good air coolers so I guess I was expecting anything that was a water cooler to be bettter. It's amazing what I learn at my own expense.
