You may want to try bumping up the voltage slowly on your RAM with the XMP profile active and see if it becomes stable. Mine runs at 1.65V, which is standard for it's XMP profile. I'd suggest the RAM I use, Mushkin 993999 - 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz 7-8-7-24 Redline.
Jultsu, ASRock wrote back and said, I'll contact headquarters about this and let you know once I get an update. Thank you. ASRock America Support Team. Hopefully, sometime today we'll hear some good news. smile.gif

I'm running the same type of Mushkin Redline kit, just th 2133mhz version. As a mater of fact, I'm not even running it at 2133 right now, because I can't OC ram for crap! Either that or my 4.5ghz OC is getting in the way, but the ram is an excellent choice.

Also go here and fill in your computer specs so it will show up in your sig.

I left everything in auto and changed the multiplier the the max 43 setting, the voltage at full load is 1.264. I'll be looking forward to learning a little more about overclocking and hearing what others are doing.

Is it stable at that voltage? What are you using to stress test, temps, ect. More info the better!

It seems real stable, so far I am just using Intel Burn Test at Max and it passes the test. The temps stay 70C or less at full load. I am running the Intel water cooler in a push config but am in the process to config it in a push pull to maybe lower the temp a little.
I did raise the BCLK to 125 and mulitplier at 37 and got it to boot, the voltage was 1.4 volts but it would take several attempts before it would post on a reboot and then sometimes would stall at the windows splash screen.. I decided I had better do some more research before I tried again.

Try running Prime95 for a stability test, much better and uses your RAM as well. Just run in Blend for about an hour, monitor the temps and see if it is stable then.

You don't want a crash in the middle of game or encoding!

ZOMG, DO NOT RUN A 125 BLCK!!!

Stick to 100 or 133 +/- 3, a BLCK like that could damage your other hard ware because that changes the buss speeds of all your components!

Ok I'll try Prime95 this afternnon. So a BCLK at 133 does not change the speed of other components? I read a lot of posts on the web about running the BCLK at 125 to achieve 4.6 GHZ with an Intel 3820 so just curious.
If the ram and Pci-e are set manually does the BCLK still change their speed?

Ok, scratch that, I didn't realize you were running a 3820. That BLCK should be ok, if your following a legitment guide.

Although the way the "straps" work, is that you are always strapped to 100/133/166/200, ect. It just depends on where you are when it straps it, right now you are strapped at 133 because you are -8 so your mobo straps your other hardware to that.

This way your PCI-E bus doesn't go from 100 to 125, because that would kill your video card or cause tons of instability. So as far as I understand, your Bus speeds are actually down clocked right now. I am running a 133 x 34 multi. and you can see the difference when you look at your memory clocks.

Right now I have the BCLK at 100 and the multipiler at 43 which is stable, I will run prime95 tonight. I really appreciate all the info.

How are you able to change the multiplier with a 3820? I thought they had locked multipliers.

Try running benchmarks and see if you are getting performance or it is just telling you that the clock is that high.
