x1900xt fan

Thread Starter
my x1900xt is idleing at around 50-52 degrees but during a heavy load like oblivion the temperature really spikes i've seen it get into the high 70's and even break 80 once, this isn't a safe range I dont think? so I was wondering if it was a problem with the fan and if there is a program or utility anyone knows of that I can use to monitor the fan to see how it's performing or something?

Yea the 1900 series can run 80-90C under load and its fine. I suggest upgrading to the vf900cu it cut my temps in half from stock cooler.
