Help getting i5 2500k stable [SOLVED]...Getting boot loops now...

Hi! As the title says...my OC isn't really stable but it's stable enough for work and gaming although I'd really like to get this stable in benchmarks and try to minimize the degradation of my CPU. I've read countless threads on getting a proper OC and I know about the silicon lottery. I'd really like to push this chip a little bit more and have it stable for at least another 2 to 3 years.

Currently I'm on a H60 the temps are acceptable and I've tried IBT on stock settings @ 3.3Ghz temps don't go too far and hover around 60*C on 20*C ambients with my H60 on P/P + AP-15's.

Here are some photos of my OC and the BIOS settings.

All the information is on my sig rig. I'll be putting this chip under water as soon as I finish modding my CM 690II and going to be trying to push this chip 5Ghz.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hm...my  RAM are rated at 1.5v so I doubt it'll affect it but I'll try that.

Anyone else want to input on this?

Have you tried a 47x mutli? Supposedly sometimes you can get a bad multi on the Sandy Bridge's.
EDIT: Try the ram @ 1.55v, and go up to say 1.65v till you feel safe!

Ok did the following changes to the OC...

Multiplier: 47

Vcore: 1.475v

Qpi/VTT: 1.1v

Multi-Steps Load-Line: Level 6

Stable during IBT:

Mode: 64-bit

Stress Level: Standard

Times to Run: 10

Threads [All]

Looks like I need to lower these voltages and try 4.5ghz until I can setup my loop.

Will report back on the various changes to make atleast my 4.5ghz OC stable...will push back to 4.7 or more when the block is installed.

As i said, sounds like you have a bad chip... Not much you can do. Also 1.475 is alot to be putting through the silicon.. I wouldn't pass 1.4v myself, or 1.45 if you have amazing cooling. Even then i'd still be worried..

Nope, I'm on an H60 with GT Ap-15's P/P.

Here are my following tests for tonight:

Multiplier: 45
Vcore: 1.330v
Qpi/VTT: 1.1v
Multi-Steps Load-Line: Level 6

Stable during IBT:
Mode: 64-bit
Stress Level: Standard
Times to Run: 10
Threads [All]

Looks like it's stable...will need to run Prime95 for at least 1 hour or more...

One weird thing tho...my voltages aren't stable as CPU-Z reports...currently at idle I'm at 1.392v but when I run IBT here are the following voltages:

1.404

1.380

1.356

1.344

I wonder what's going on with the changes in voltage.

I seem to be experiencing the cold-bug restart loop for some odd reason. I usually turn off my PC when I go to work and when I start my PC (usually ambient temps are below 20*C) it starts to turn on then turn off then turn on...
