Today I installed a new ssd drive and when I booted I noticed that the fan controller was displaying the wrong voltages for the fans. I turn the dial all the way and I'm getting a reading of 6V instead of 12V. I also notice that even though the voltages are wrong the rpm are correct. What is going on?

How did you arrange the power connections? What size power supply are you using? This sounds like a power problem to be honest, seeing as how it only happened AFTER you modified your pc.

Actually I took the fan controller out of the case and with a different power supply it still showed up incorrectly.

Not sure what happened to be honest to cause that kind of failure only when installing a different part, but you can request a RMA through our website @ http://www.lamptron.com/support/

My signature shows all the information about my computer.
I'm 100% sure it was not my PSU because I took the fan controller out and connected it to another power supply and got the same results.
