How Do I Remove The SLI Bar Off Screen During Gameplay?

It's in the title: in some games, not all, there is that SLI bar on the left side of the screen that goes from top to bottom. It isn't that big a deal, but is a bit annoying and I was wanting to know if anybody knew how to get rid of it. I'm guessing it's just to show that game supports SLI or something.

Go into the nVidia Control Panel. It should be in the 3D Settings, I think.

Highlight Set SLI and Physx configuration and then disable it under 3D Settings at top.  The bar shows the amount of scaling during gameplay.

Bumping this as I have the same issue but even after un-checking it and closing the window, then reopening it is till checked.
