HTPC case recommendation

Thread Starter 
i want to get a smaller case as cheap as posable with fairly good airflow
as my cpu is passively cooled

must be able to house sig rig so

1 GTX 260 gainward GS
1 3.5in HDD
1 dvd rw
& asus P8H67-M LE mobo & be able to fit my CM hyper tx3 cooler
& a standard atx psu

I don't know of many HTPC specific case that will fit that cooler.

I have a Cooler Master 360 Elite (5.8" wide) that won't fit a OCZ Vendetta (134 mm tall) cooler. Needs at least another 1/4 inch to fit.

What exactly are you looking for? A specific size, style color, orientation (vertical or horizontal), price etc.

For a "HTPC" cases that fit ATX boards, look here.
Some of those can fit that large of a cooler and the ATX board. I would guess it will need to be at least 6.25" wide, so anything less and the cooler probably will not fit.

i want a horizontal case preferably or a smallish tower case that can fit a ATX standard PSU not full ATX mobo

the gtx 260 is only getting to 60-70c

OK, I had searched for your board, but left off the "LE" so it brought up the full ATX instead of MATX.

You still have the issue with the height of the cooler. You will need a case at least 6.2" wide to fit it.

Hmm i have worked with the SG-02F for some time now and IIRC those Sugos have a 78mm height limitation for HSF

What about an FT03? That would go nice in a corner or hard up against a wall, and even cards like a 6990 fits and cools adequately. Also it fits big CPU coolers, because it has space for a 120mm fan beside the rear IO. (just so i don't have to look up numbers)

Silverstone SST-FT03B/S the b/s is for black or silver.

EDIT: it fits coolers up to 167mm.

thanks guys its ether going to be the COOLER MASTER Elite 360 RC-360-KKN1-GP or Silverstone SST-FT03B just have to find them in the uk for a good price

hate this 20% tax on everything
