But, the way performance PCs are becoming so mainstream thes days I would expect a game like this to be recieved quite well in the future. Pretty much your main enemy in this situation is consoles. Most kids play consoles as opposed to PCs because they don't require any maintenance, they're relatively cheap, and games are always gauranteed to work.
apparently YOU my friend dont have an Xbox 360 haha I used to think console games were gauranteed to work, then I bought a 360. Now I say a tiny prayer everytime I load a game up and if then if the game actually loads and does not freeze I'm happy. Suffice it to say, I'm ofton depressed.

Yea that sounds like a good game, i mean there are a lot of PC enthusiasts, you just need the right company to make it, unless your making this yourself, i didnt read all sorry. I would buy it. See if you could make it, you might be able to get Valve to back a game like that, or even if you dont build it, take the idea and try get valve to make it, as the Steam Network, could make a game like that huge.

Not sure if this idea will pan out for all of the aformentioned reasons, but very creative thinking outside the box. Good luck; very entrepenuerial of you! I hope your project becomes more than just an original thread. There is a lot of advertising / marketing money floating out there, hope you can grab your share
