So those of you getting amazing temps what speed you running.. i like mine on low so i can sleep at night. But if i were to put it.on high i am sure tps would drop 3-5c

I use Scythe Gentle typhoons @ 1850 rpm. They are back in stock now so you should be able to pick some up.

They are very quiet fans. I have 4 in a P/P config (intake & Pull shrouds) on my H100. I sometime have to to a visual check to see if they are running... that how quiet they are thumb.gif

have a looky at this thread

GTs are the best choice for rad fans, save deltas (too loud).

Slip streams... not so much for rads but make great case fans

Well that answers that question.. I wasnt buy a computer or would of checked myself.. Only reason I was banking on newegg was a gift card I had and the order I am placing tonight with them for a PSU and KV Switch and Maybe some TIM.. MMM TIM..

I have the rad mounted onto of my case and the fans onto of that. I have rubber washes on everything to eliminate vibration, but the fans regardless produce noise.. So I want to keep that down to a min. The corsairs have an unusually long plug and go into the case to connect to the H100, I dont even know is my Yate Loons would make it. They may actually..

The Typhoons are great fans dont get me wrong and are considered with the highest regards.. However in my current situation Id dont know if they will even make a difference.. According the specs they are almost 10 dbA less sound than the slipstreams but move half the amount of CFM.. For the same RPM.. I mean I could be reading it wrong.. Not a fan expert here.. But to replace 4 fans it will run me $60.. Which would be worth it if I could guarantee a temp decrease... But who can make that claim..??

I guess with them I could increase the setting of the H100 and maybe keep it at the same noise level as the current fans on low? Then they would produce more air flow since they would be moving faster.. Which inturn drop the temps.. However thats a big assumption for $60.. And sadly Micro Center doesnt carry them. So its not like I could buy them, try them, and return them if they dont help. If I pick them up off the next, I need to pay to ship them back and possibly a restocking fee..Hmm.... DOesnt sound too tempting..

I am not saying your recommendation isnt valid or appreciated.. I just know how if it helps me..

No dramas, everyone's setup and situation is different. As they say, :"Your mileage may vary" smile.gif

Does Newegg or Micro carry Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000 or 3000's? They would be my next recommendation, if you dont mind the noise. Yates Loon are also a great fan...

As far as cable lengths go... Im sure you could pick up or make a plug extender for a couple of dollars.

TIM; I have tried most of the brands and I keep coming back to Shin Etsu and MX4. Remember with TIM... less is more. Its not spack filler, just a lil dab will do the job. smile.gif

Yea I am going to try the Shin Etsu.. The MX-4 isnt doing ti for me..

I mean how much would those fans vary over what I have now.. (2) Corsair Stock 22000RPM / (2) Scythe Slip Streams 1900RPM on the H100 P/P

Thank for your help!

Its probably the TIM. The stock stuff is great!

The stock corsair fans work, but they are really loud. I have 2 Gentle Typhoon AP-15's on my H100, they work great, but I've found them to be louder than I expected, but its a good ratio. They aren't that loud.

Just to pick your brain..

They were quieter than the corsair? Did you have the chance to run the H100 with both set ups? The stock fans and the Typhoons? Notice a temp change?

Kinda wishing I never took off the H100 after first putting it on.. I doubt I will ever get that great of an application again.. I picked up some Shin Estu stuff but I doubt it will recomare to the way it was applied on before.. Even though I thought it was way too much on there..

On paper, the Slipstreams look impressive and they do seem to move a lot of air.

SS = 110.31 cfm / 187 m3/H
UK 2000 = 87,63 cfm
UK 3000 = 133.6 cfm / 228m3/H
Corsair = 92 cfm / 118 m3/H

Have you considered using shrouds between the rad and the push fans. The theory is, that they reduce the dead space on the rad surface by moving the fan hub further away from the rad.

A gutted 25mm fan frame works well. I have found a 1-2c drop when using them.

Oh yes, very much quieter than the stock corsair fans, even on full blast. And the performance seemed about the same to me honestly. Maybe slightly better with the GT's.
