nvidia are making no sense right now.

uhh 4xx and 5xx were also both Fermi, why doesn't it make sense?

Seems like GK110 will be the refreshed higher-end Kepler to counter the HD 8xxx series which starts surfacing with leaks already.

All your information is based on rumors and 'leaks', so until they official have word on any of it, I wouldn't care for any naming convention. As long as they have their enthusiast market covered with a card I'll be happy. smile.gif

Btw, where do some people get this gtx7xxx models from, the earliest leaks available? There has been NO information since then that they want to skip a 'generation' in model naming.

Looks like someone already declared a winner. I'd like to see how that was tested. I run 3 screens so I want to see what the 2gb of Vram does for us. I like the 3gb on the new AMD's. I'm wondering if you can do surround on 1 card now also.

That's old news and this site (Semiaccurate) is not reputable. This whole topic a repost btw.

Without providing any proof, or even remotely trying, how reputable should we view your information?

We should take a strangers word over a website that at least has build some reputation? Most people have a mixed opinion about the site, some have tried to prove that he's been more wrong then right, some the opposite, either way, it's just another rumor, which one do you want to believe?

It's actually not a repost, as more sites are showing similar information.

March 23rd dates:

http://www.tweaktown.com/news/22867/nvidia_kepler_gk104_cards_coming_on_march_23/index.html
http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ru&tl=en&twu=1&u=http://www.overclockers.ru/hardnews/46108/NVIDIA_predstavit_Kepler_23_marta.html&usg=ALkJrhhk2oT9hs3wFVq8EaBl2eusYgFYpA

So this could easily mean paper launch next week, and hard launch around the 23rd.

Based on everything we've seen, and assuming the rumors are true, a person would have to be absolutely stubborn to not see that NVIDIA has a incredible product here and will likely be the *ONLY* card that most gamers will want. The price and performance is the best we have ever seen on the GPU market.

Again, this is assuming the rumors are true.. but I think the facts are adding up. Who's not to say that stores will take advantage of this and try to get $200-$300 profit off each sale though? People would be willing to spend much more for these than what NVIDIA is charging.. so hopefully that does not happen.

Yes! i can not wait for kepler!! I just hope that they drop the prices of the 7870-50 down to 299-240$ price point then i will jump on a 7870 UNLESS kepler is just that much more Superior! thumb.gif

Exactly my worries. Sure Nvidia might put a stupid low MSRP on these cards.. but stores know that consumers are more than willing to pay $500-600 for the top end card. Since Kepler will probably be available in limited quantities at launch, they'd probably sell out at $500 anyway
