Thread Starter
I have 2 hdds. Once Ide and the other sata. I'd been using the IDE and bought the sata awhile ago, but never came around to putting windows on it. I eventually put Ubuntu 5.10 on it. I had filled up the ide and was going to bring everything over to the sata. I accidently reformated the wrong drive w/ ubuntu because it wasnt accepting the windows cd. It still wont accept the Windows cd, and gives me a error when I try to boot w/ it.

Well firstly make sure that you are Changing the Priority of your drives to make sure that your Optical drive ( DVD/CDROM DRIVE ) is booting up first on system boot and that you have the Windows CD in the drive ready to boot up. When it says press any key to continue do so. Now you will be bought into the Windows Setup and from here you can format any drive or partition to install Windows.

If this doesnt work use F-disk here : http://www.fdisk.com/fdisk/
