oc intel with software

Can any one tell me how to oc my intel board with software i know to is recomended but i wanna try. and can i set speed normal again if cpu become to much unstable. and should i buy a cooling system as i have INTEL 915 FAN WITH HEATSINK

I have basicly the same mobo as you and there is no way u will be able to OC. I have used clockgen and other software it's impossible. Wheni raise the FSB just a mhz it locks up blue screen and crash. There is no way but in ur bios there is a way go to ur chipset config and find burn in mode. Put that to +4% It increases ur FSB by 4% so it brings ur's and my cpu to 3.12ghz. Since the p4 is toasty as it is and the OC isn't a major one i just put it to the default settings. No need for extra heat. eh
