They have been sued so many times for abusing their employees into sweatshop conditions, its not even funny.
EA is the worst thing to ever happen to gaming. Ignoring their others hady business tactics, I despise them for the simple fact that they buy out good design houses, and then milk the **** out of their successful franchise and run what was a good series into the ground. Rinse and repeat. Its their business model, and it disgusts me.
Just wait... you'll see. They are going to pioneer holding back content that should be included in retail titles, and instead release it piece by piece via paid DLC to get that much more money out of you. Ugh.
Screw EA.

ok, calm down silly, dont want to start a war that can never be finished. you can not single out EA as being horrible and profit hungry. I can think of 3 other companies off the top of my head that do the exact same thing your talking about bud.
your rinse and repeat statement holds not ground when it comes to origins, it has nothing to do with origins and never should be put in same category as origins. If you want to do rinse and repeat, look at activision, there last 4 games have all been rinse and repeat.

So before you start going way off subject here lets get back on subject and keep this why you do/don't like origins

It does matter, because origin is a further method of control and removing competition. You think origin is going to stock all the small indie games like steam does? HA. Its going to be nothing but EA titles and property, and the more people who switch to Origin, the more its going to destroy PC gaming. Its all related, and its a slippery, slippery slope.

i don mind it. its definitely better than eadm. i personally dont see origin much. i know the icon is generally on my taskbar hidden. it also asks for updates every now and then. when i launch bf3/crysis origin launches and goes away. i cant really say it bugs me or i hate it. i can play my games. thats all i care about.

The only problem I ever have with them is that every time I install a new video card I have to get on online help to reauthorize my serial code. It takes a while sometimes and its very frustrating. Other then that no issues here. Seems like they would let your code be good for a little longer then just one install.

Oh and one other thing. THEY HAVENT HAD A SINGLE SALE SINCE CHRISTMAS!!!! They dont even have the "Deals" tab anymore.

I actually enjoy Origin. It always loads when it is supposed to and has never really given me any problems. The whole Origin issue is overblown by the rabid steam fanboys and people who seem to not like competition.

I don't hate Origin or Steam seen as I've never had a problem with either of them. All my games work great. Of course I would prefer to not have to use them but you are going to have to get used to them or miss out on most if not all AAA games. And I sure as hell am not missing out playing great games. Either suck it up or lose out, your loss.
I couldn't really give a poop about how EA treat employees and what goes on behind closed doors in their company, it doesn't interest me in the slightest. I buy a game, download it and it works as intended, that is good enough for me.

Origin has a lot more than just EA games already. They do lack the indie games, but you are already wrong saying they will only have EA titles and property.

I hate Origin because it is forced on me if I want to play an EA game. I understand that Steam is forced as well, but I already have Steam and have had it for years with major dollars invested in my collection of games on Steam. I just don't want a second game client. I want all my games in one place. Not to mention I just like Valve better as a company that EA. Valve is at the forefront of the industry and has gained my trust. EA is the exact opposite. Not to mention Valve has sales on Steam, allows mods (Steam Workshop), and Steam is just an overall better experience.
