I never liked those ASRock motherboards.... I've heard too many mixed opinions about them

For the budget, this is my recommendation, sticking with socket 939 for now:

Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 CAC-T05-WWC Black/Silver $81.99
CPU: AMD Opteron 165 Denmark 1.8GHz Socket 939 Dual Core $159.99
MoBo: DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 $104.99
Video: 3D Fuzion 3DFR76256GSE Geforce 7600GS 256MB GDDR2 $88.88

Total: $435.85

Let's just hope Newegg will have those opty's in stock soon at this price

in6 months everyone will be bouncing all over AMD's answer to conroe. so go with what feels right, try to sort the real answers from the fanboys. no offence to anyone here! the few know who they are. im a 100% intel guy, but im no fanboy. these 2 companies bounce the leaderboard every 6-9 months. try to think of the future tho. am2 OR c2d will serve you better in the long run, as old components become obsolete. like mine, paid nearly 200$ for a 7800 gs co agp (good deal) cause i comited to the rig i have now... right before conroe... my bad
