Building water rig Need help with loop.

Thread Starter

So I started getting the part for this build last week. What i have

1.Aquacomputer AMS copper fins system 360 Dual loop rad.

2.EK rampage 3 full MB block

3..Danger Den Monsson d5 premiun 2 slot front bay with

4. Kryos Silver edition cpu block.

5.ek 580 gtx + gpu block for a 570gtx.

What would best the best way to setup the loop with this rad. I will be adding one more Rad a 240 in future. The danger den Res have two in and out ports so was thinking in linking both Rad out port to Res Then some how linking the in ports of the Radiator in the loop .

My first question is... why do you have a 580 and a 570 in one system? They cannot SLI with each other. Unless you plan on using the 570 for PhysX or for secondary monitors, at which point it is complete overkill.

Since you already have those parts, I won't say anything about them.

Are you building a dual-loop or single-loop system?

Is a 580 gtx block for a 570 gpu , Was trying for a singel loop but i got the Rad in a very good price so i jumped on it.

@Tsumi - I think you read his post wrong, he stated he had a 580 Gtx block for a 570.

@Griffenxz depends on the reservoir you have, what case you are gonna use, and where you are placing each item.

You can have multiple rads in a single loop system. For the price of a dual loop it will not bring much performance gain over a single loop, so I recommend staying with a single loop. As for setup again depends on what case and where everything is but reservoir should be before the pump, don't run it dry and damage it.

This is the Res , And im using a thermaltake Speedo Advance package case , Which I need to mod the case Slightly .

Whats the case you are using? In terms of general setup I'd say
1) res
2) pump
3) rad?
4) GPU
*5) rad? / CPU
*6) rad? / CPU
7) res

you can probably interchange 5 and 6. Depending on how you want the tubing to go, how much tubing, and if you're looking for a clean look.

Well i need to account for Mother board block to. This is my issue the rad has a dual curcit, Those that split the cooling performace in half? How to convert a loop on this dual circut system. The Monsson Has 2 inlets and 2 outlest holes. can i use this to create or combine the curcit of the rad togther ? Or i can do that just with the rad itself?
The pump and res are together.

I read that as ek gtx 580 block + another GPU block for a 570, so I assumed a 580 and a 570.

Your radiator can be used for single loop, dual loop, or even triple loop, if I'm looking at the right radiators. Just block off two sets of those, and just use one inlet and one outlet. Done, single loop.

As for the reservoir, same thing, Just use one inlet and outlet. Those are there in case you need/want it, but you don't have to necessarily use them.

Also, loop order does not matter. Just route in the easiest way possible.

so , which outlet should I close , should I use the 2 outer outlets ?

This is my solution so far connect both outlets to the Res , That gives me with 2 inlets to deal with in rad and 2 outlets in res. From the res side i have 2 outlets, one outlet goes to cpu , gpu , and future rad but for now it goes back to the primary inlet in the rad. Second outlet from res, goes to MOBO block , and future Ram block then back into inlet in rad The secondary section.
