Budget MC Build

Thread Starter
Hey guys Im looking to make a budget microcenter build. Mainly cause I need to make it relatively soon, sadly theres no Frys nearby.
Similar to another thread but I need to use Microcenter only.

Needs to be under $300.
It will run Windows 7. Work/office PC (no gaming). 4gB memory *should* be enough. Tasks primarily involve running outlook all day, having 4 or so tabs in IE/Chrome/FF. So fairly light on that part as far as what needs to be done, because of this Im thinking an integrated gpu should work nicely.

Parts needed...
CPU, Mobo, RAM, HDD, ODD, Case, Power Supply

Microcenter has some pretty nice bundles (i think?) atm on the PIIX4 960T, PIIX6 1045, and FX4100 but Im not sure if that would be better than going with the A4 and its APU. Thoughts/suggestions?

Current AMD CPU/Mobo Bundles

I would go with the 960T since GPU power doesnt seem to be important on this build.

Would the 960T be preferable over the 1045? Didnt know bulldozer was out all ready, which is apparently the 4100 - 960T beats out the bulldozer as well?

PSUs are a little over priced at MC, if you want to stay within budget, you should order from Newegg, NCIX and Amazon. as well.

I will probably order some parts such as PSU from NewEgg etc
But for now I'd like to see what I should be looking at, including PSU, when I goto MC today/tomorrow.

$110 960T bundle from MC
$37 CX 430
$40 NZXT Source
$76 500GB HDD
$19 CD/DVD Drive
$26 2x2GB 1600MHz RAM
$308 before rebates
A little over budget, but I did this really quick, you could get a different case to save a little bit of $$$.

What Microcenter are you near? the one near me sells 320GB refurb HDD's for ~$45
You can also get a refurb CD/DVD drive

Im near the VA one, as I see you are too =D Live in loudoun county so its not a bad drive at all =D

@Tarun, for the purposes I specified, would spending an extra $50 on the mother board really have any impact?

Edit: So I take it that the consensus is 960T Bundle? (:

It will only help with an Overclock, since you probably don't care too much about features.

Since you are near the Fairfax MC, grab the refurb HDD and CD drive. to save some $$$
