WOW turning off C 'n Q REALLY makes a difference NO STUTTER AT ALL in DiRT 3. If someone is stumbling upon this who has had the same/similar problem, just turn off your Cool 'n quiet or the intel equivalent if you have an intel chip. Let it run at its set clocks the whole time. biggrin.gif

Now, either i need better cooling, or im going to have to down-clock cuz these temps are scarin me, (58C peak in DiRT3, only 45C idle) so i think im going to down clock it to maybe 3.6 or 3.8 GHz . Thanks for the help guys thumb.gif

Well, unigine heaven is still having problems. It says im getting 40 FPS when running it, but it doesnt look like 40 FPS. its like 20 fps if you ask me. What im actually noticing is its not 100% consistent. its like its skipping frames. like, every 2 out of 10 frames the video pauses/skips frames. I think i might look at a thread of overclocking this card. It seems quite difficult because i immediately get artifacts when i bump it up by 5mhz.

But anyone know why it might skip frames and say that its doing 40FPS?
