1.65-1.7v shouldn't be a problem if they are OC'd (tightened). I have some GSkill ECO's rated at 1.35v and they're safe to 1.7v. Ran them at 1.68v for a year now. Just retired them to give the high freq 8GB kit a try and they're rated at 1.65v stock and are safe up to 1.9v. These are in my current setup which is all updated in sig rig.

You do realize that when a worker fails the test has been failed right? No sense going any further. Need a change, either more Dram voltage or more CPU/NB voltage. If your only at 1.55 Dram voltage, I'd raise that first and give that a try.

Dram at 1.6, CPU/Nb at 1.4... still gets 2 worker errors. expected .04 got .05 rounding error. Windows feels snappy so seems more stable keep raising these values or?... also tightened timings to 2t-8-8-8--23 from 2t-9-9-9-25( no more or less errors when i did this)

Mate I have the same problem, I got it to 3.8ghz stable and could never get 4.0ghz fully stable, only enough to run futuremark.

I will help you on your journey to find a possible solution to this catastrophy!

My setup

1090t @ 3.6ghz only with changed multiplier
790X-UD4 Gigabyte mobo
900w Corsair PSU

I never got into changing NB frequency / Ram Voltages but may as well give it a go as I'm looking to upgrade in a few months

Challenge Accepted!

This is my current setup, it runs fine but isn't fully stable. Blue screens when intense gaming or prime 95 testing.
1090t BE
- Cool and quiet/ turbo boost all similar bios settings are disabled...
-Core: x20 Multi, 4000Mhz
-NB: 2800Mhz at 1.1v (Stock from Bios)
-Ht Link: 2000Mhz at 1.2v (Stock from Bios)
-V core:1.5v (Temps are fine under load doesn't go over 55c. Have a Antec Kuhler 620 water-cooler in a push pull fans and can be turned up... would like to see a lower v-core at this core speed if possible but every time I run it at say 1.475 it blue screens a lot quicker.)
-VNB: 1.3v
-Ram Speed/Timings: 1333 (2t-9-9-9-24) (Stock setting for gskill 2 4gb sticks) at 1.5v
-Multi: x20 as stated above
-Motherboard: UD3 gigabyte 990fx
-Stable: No frown.gif
Any advice would be appreciated. If Further info needed to help I can try to provide. Just looking to get it to 4.0 stable and shouldn't need nor want to go above 1.5 v-core to do so.

Whoa whoa whoa, if you need 1.47v for 4ghz I wouldnt be doing it.

It's most likely its a NB instability than CPU instability, mine requires like 1.3v on the CPU-NB to be stable at 3ghz...

My CPU needs 1.425v at 3.9ghz, I could probably go higher but I'm limited by heat...

EDIT: Just try and find the best overclock you can at a relatively good voltage. What cooling are you using, perhaps that's the factor. And make sure it is NB voltage, but CPU NB VID voltage
EDIT2: STEPS:

-Drop the ram to 1333 9-9-9-27-2T and increase voltage to stock or a bit over. Just to make sure it's not the Ram.
-Keep HT at 2000
-Try and get stable 3000 mhz NB (no CPU overclocking and bigger performance gain on AMD than CPU)
-THEN try get stable CPU overclock
-Once 12h Prime95 stable, then try tighten timings and increase RAM speed.

Oh also I have a antec kuhler 620 too xD, how are you managing 55 degrees? I'm just stress testing 3.8ghz to make sure and I'm hitting 53-54 with all cores at 100% frown.gif could be ambient temp here... it's fricken hot.

Also newb question, my default CPU voltage is set at 1.475V in the BIOS, yet CPUZ is showing 1.408V and Core temp is showing 1.4000V, which one should I believe? redface.gif

Could be Vdroop, your board/psu can't handle the CPU voltage properly...

I'll look into Vdroop as I'm unfamiliar with it

Im trying to fix the ram, thats the issues my psu cpu is fine. Im at 1.5 volts and still only reach 57c at 100%. Have 2 aerocool sharks rates 82 cfm in a push pull may be why i have better results. An ive started over 5 times. 1.5 volts is a must on vcore for this board to see 4.0ghz just bsods with anything less. Have had ram at normal speed less and more ad all kind of timings still cant get rid of rounding errors and the voltage is 1.6 dram when stock is 1.5. dont know what else to do for that rounding error. I may have to go to 3.8 if I cant get this stable.
