Cross platform is what matters right now - otherwise its just another FPS.

CS Got Old for me back in beta 1.3 on HL1...

This is a good thing people. PS3 owners would have been crushed by even low level players. The mouse is simply better for precision in regards to an analog stick.

As a long time CS:S player (started in 2004) I gotta say CS:GO looks crappy, graphically but also gameplay wise. It's been 8 years since CS:S game out...Why does the game BARELY look any better? mad.gif

Are they really THAT lazy?

It wouldn't surprise me if BF2 has more players than an older (but still relatively recent) COD game has on consoles.

A PC game doesn't keeps "going for years" because of new content neccesairly. If we look at the greatest of PC titles, they haven't been updated for years and yet still get played regularly today. Likewise, their updates stem from...nothing...but minor bug fixes and maybe, just maybe, a new weapon or map. Likewise, these titles have graphics that are comparable to consoles...so there is obviously more of a reason then graphics and content. Something like better controls and a more professional community that comes to mind.

Again. I highly doubt input methods were the reason for removal.. (PS3 supports mouse and keyboard anyway)

If you understood the implemented netcode and differences between both platforms, it would be clear as day.

Counter-strike's focus as always been on competitive play. CSS tried to get the more casual and thus could never outdo the original. CS:GO is probably aimed at the true successor of CS 1.5.

You are comparing counter-strike to all the other FPS? Not a single FPS has been able to match it's learning curve or skill level.

I was all like, "meh, cross-platform, do not want". Now that cross-platform is gone, I'm all like "hey, this is for me, what am I waiting for. I love playing CS in servers were the rule is 18+".
