Which card should I get?

Thread Starter
I need a card for my new build. I got a $100 gift card for new egg that I would like to use. The goal is to run games @ 1080 on at 50" tv for under $150 after rebate.

Here is what I found so far:
HIS H685FN1GD Radeon HD 6850 - $137
SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 - $142
EVGA 01G-P3-1556-KR GeForce GTX 550 Ti - $120
HIS IceQ X Turbo H679QNT1G2M Radeon HD 6790 - $138
ASUS EAH6770/DI/1GD5 Radeon HD 6770 - $96

*added from suggestions*
HIS Radeon HD 6870 - $150

What does everyone suggest? Feel free to suggest things not on my list. Thanks!

In that price range, your best bet is a 6870: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161389

EDIT: Ken is right. 7770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102967

UNEDIT: Actually, the 6870 is probably the better bang for the buck at this point. The 7770 has better performance/watt, but the 6870 will outperform the 7770 is most applications.

I've been having an internal debate about fan noise. I was going to buy any card and put on an aftermarket cooler to make it silent. Then I found the PowerColor SCS3 AX6850 (credit avaya). It's a lot more then I wanted to spend but it has a passive cooler and would save me $50 from buying a vga cooler. I don't know what to do doh.gif

The GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6770 looks intriguing. I'm going to research the 6770.

For PSU I got SeaSonic X Series X650 Gold because it's passive until it has heavy load. Even under heavy load I can't hear the fan running.

Found a site to compare cards. IDK if it's correct data but this is what graphicscardbenchmarks.com has to say:

Be careful about relying too much on one benchmark. A GPU/CPU/RAM/whatever will perform differently in different situations. It's a lot more complicated than this product is faster than this product. Though general trends do apply. That benchmark is probably flawed in some way because I find it difficult to believe that the 7770 is underperforming the 6770 by 2-3%.

I pulled the trigger. I bought the PowerColor SCS3 AX6850 Radeon HD 6850. It was a lot more then I wanted to pay but in the end I didn't want to lose my silent pc for a little extra gpu performance that I might never use.
