hey guys, thought id help out my buddy and sell him my 6870 cheap and was wondering what be a gd upgrade from one? im looking to spend around 240ish it depends ( on what the local store here has) anywho drop a line thx biggrin.gif

impossible to get a good upgrade for that price new. a used 6950 2GB on a place like ocn is your best bet. the 560ti, 6950 1GB aren't substantial upgrades from a 6870. you'd do well to extend your budget to get something that would be a real and worthwhile upgrade. otherwise, 560ti or 6950 1GB would do.

Yeah if you would be willing to spend about 300-350 and go with the 6970 would be alot better upgrade, because like PureBlackFire said for that budget you will only be looking at an upgrade of a few fps.

yea. I would say at the very least you want a 448core 560ti, a 6970 or in a couple of weeks the 7870 coming out.

6970 only comes in 2GB. I would go for the HD7870 if I were you. It is pricey at $350 though.

Totally if the 7870 is 350 definitely go for that with the new architecture plus the direct x 11.1 support
