This could be a fun exercise, so I figure, hey, let's do it.

Task: You are responsible for picking the hardware components for the Valve "Steam-Box" that everyone's been talking about. It's your job to, based on current PC game requirements and where you think PC games are headed, spec out a PC that becomes to Valve Steam-box. The considerations are:

1. Cost
2. Longevity
3. Performance/IQ

List the specs, the hardware cost (use Newegg, but keep in mind if these things get mass produced, deals can be made), and why you picked the parts you did.
