Case Fan, Molex/3pin

Thread Starter
Hey, I am looking to replace the stock fans that came with my nzxt phantom with better LED ones. I am looking at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811998121 But I see that it only comes with a molex connector. My case came with a fan controller mounter on top that lets me adjust speed on all my fans and they connect with a 3 pin connector. Is there a benefit to using the molex or vice versa? And does the molex connector offer higher performance than the 3 pin connector even when I have adjusted the fan to run at full speed?

No, they are exactly the same. It is simply a different connector for the same cables. You can easily adapt from one to the other without problem.
