Ive overclocked my video card to extreme... than launched a benchmark somewhere in the middle it started giving crazy artifacts, then i turned off the bench the screen started flicering(going black on and black again and so on) i tried to lower the clocks it took around 3 min... i didnt finish yet, and then the screen went black with horisontal lines across, i restarted the pc, lowered the clocks, and now the bench gives me same artifacts, like triangles all across the screen... Need help, did i burn something what can be wrong IM REALLY WORRIED!!! Thnx...

Sound like you were just another victim of a G71 GPU. That's pretty common with those GPUs, IMO you should RMA and card for a new one but next time don't go crazy with the overclock setting you do because the G71 has way too many anomalies.

You're not the first person to report such problem with their GeForce 7900 GT. That is the #1 reason why I'm not giving up my NV42 GPU, though I'd like to buy a GeForce 7800 GTX.

Good luck with your card.

I hate to say it but Nasgul is correct. There is a well documented problem with the 7900 GPU's, which caused most companies to release new ones (the ROHS compliant ones). Your best bet will definatly be to RMA the card. Lesson learned though, just make sure you get an ROHS complaint card, they seem to have alot less problems. Sorry.

RMA is return merchandise authorization, basically your going to have to call your 3d card company (MSI) and have them replace your card. Whatever you do don't tell them you overclocked, if they ask what the problem is just say its artifacting.
