Same error, 2 different MB and 2 different GXF

So I've decided to rebuild my Media center computer, and I've tried an old Epox Ep-8npa-sli and an ASUS K8N4-E delux motherboards. Both are Socket 754 and use the same AMD Athlon64 3700+. The video cards that I've tried are an ASUS N6600 and a brand new PNY 7300GT. The memory that I've tried I know is in perfect condition because it ran Memtest for 3 days straight without error in it's original computer. I've also tried 3 different PS: a Antec 350W, a generic 400W and a PC P&C 510W.

The strange thing is that any combination of the above pieces causes the same 1 long 2 short beeps.

I've reset the bios's and removed the battery for ten minutes on both MB, moved the mem to different slots and gotten same results and absolutely nothing sometimes.

Any more help would be much apprieciated!

You are putting motherboard standoffs on the motherboard tray, right? Check to make sure that everything is plugged in correctly, and that your cpu is in, with the lever down and heatsink on.

Yes I am using motherboard standoffs and i just tested both boards with a working processor and still nothing. I guess I should give up on this for awhile.

You are using a 3700 on a socket 754? I think I have the solution to all your problems buddy.

...according to wikipedia(which i don't trust 100%, but it's still a good reference 95% of the time), 3700's work in 754 sockets (last chip they can use), so unless it's a bios update or something like that.... that's not his problem.

Well, there is no easy way to check if the CPU works - if you have a spare 754 lying around, try that out.
Also, just because the RAM works perfectly in 1 mobo, doesn't mean it will like the new boards.
Finally, stupid question, have you made sure that the GFX cards are plugged in to the PSU? Also check the mobos for an extra power socket (some mobos need 2 connections from the PSU)
Other than that, good luck!

I've tried my sisters Semperon processor that works, and still nothing. The RAM thing could be true, but the motherboards that I am putting it in have used the same RAM in their previous lives. And the 6600 and 7300 don't need extra power plugged directly in. Curiously, when I tried my 3700+ in my sisters computer, it booted, but froze on the desktop. So I'm going to assume that both the Processor and both Motherboards are caputs, so I've ordered new ones. We'll see if they work...

Ooooookay. So, new motherboard and cpu are in, and now I get nothing but a blinking power led with the 7300GT, and absolutely nothing at all with the 6600. Getting kinda pissed. I'm thinking that both the 6600 and the 7300 are shot so I might return the 7300 for a new one.

Here's a list of what pieces i've tried so far.
