I painted my case!!! First timer.. Tell me what you think?! :D - Page 3

Looks pretty good.

And for the record, there's nothing wrong with using rattle cans (especially if you're painting something small), but I prefer spray guns since they're easier to use/control (trigger actuation vs tiny button), provide a more uniform spray, you can get custom-mixed colors, and the paints are more cost effective.

Very true and I totally agree. But with the money situation I'm in I love how it turned out with a rattle can. I'm in love with it so far. Spray gun would only be that much better thumb.gif

Shadow....you did an awesome job! I'm a bit of a fan of white myself.

Maybe consider some interior work as well?

Sent from my coffee pot.

Exactly, The initial investment to purchase a spray gun and good compressor is certainly a big consideration, but if you can afford to buy it it'll be worth it in the long haul. If you have a large project and access to a compressor, then the spray gun will pretty much pay for itself on that project alone.

I bough a pair of spray guns on clearance at Lowe's for about $60 a few years back. They work well, but the ancient compressor my dad had wasn't up to snuff for them (was pumping at nearly 100% duty cycle) so I now ended up buying a new one that's more compact, more powerful, handles more pressure, and has shorter cycle times.

Well I actually got a call a bit ago about a job tomorrow so. I'll be making more money then I am now (which with no job thats pretty much pennies I find on the ground) haha. But Ill be getting a new rig. Since I'm younger and live with my parents I have virtually no bills so a NEW RIG IS IN MY FUTURE!!!!!!!! Can't wait. Wish me luck on the interview! biggrin.gif
