he is talking about iceq series. it is true that it is the only one fully rear exhaust custom cooler. i dont remember any other similar model from different brands.
EDIT:
ah yes, forgot about toxic series from sapphire, but they are not always made as rear exhaust.

i know, my Father had a 5570 HIS IceQ smile.gif so i know. biggrin.gif

I don't know what you all see but that thing looks ugly. It's a three slot cooler and awkward looking in general. Also pcb is blue, wth.gif I get it suppose to compliment the blue on the cooler but just looks strange. Also and kinda curious how loud that thing is at full tilt.

Now personal options aside if the thing performs great and is acceptably quiet then who and I'm to argue form from function.

Just looking at it may be possible to put a sound card next to it in the "uselees" slot taken up by the cooler.

First off, i can't find one post that was complimenting how pretty it looks. So i don't know where you get the "i dont know what you all see" thing from. And technically, it's a 2 slot. Although the end of the card protrudes into what could be close to 3 slot dimensions. Still nothing close to a DC II.

Second, it would look dope from the side view. Copper heat pipes and rounded shroud, this thing would look sexy installed in the case.

The large fan is to reduce the RPM's needed to keep the card the same temps as a smaller fan would, so it will perform well, and do it quitely. At full tilt, you'll have some noise, and hell of performance too. Plus it's rear exhaust. For all of the above reasons, this is one of the better/if not best designs out there right now. From a happy Twin Frozr II user.

Well first off, Other people are saying they like the looks of the card, I personally do not. And yes technically, it looks like a 2 slot cooler, But try sticking another one of these in the slot right next to it.

I understand what the larger fan does. But it is still pushing air through a small space. Not all of the noise comes from the fan's motor. The fan is still a blower style fan and there for going to be louder then your standard 6-9blade fan. I bet at full speed the thing is still crazy loud unless the motor isn't a high RPM motor in order to keep the max speed to acceptable audible level. May not be like the vacuum cleaner that is stock cooling on a 5870 or other ATI cards, but I bet it's louder than you think.

Rear exhaust is nice for case without good air flow but i disagree with the "best designs comment" For a "2 slot" rear exhaust cooler it looks promising to be better than other blower style rear exhaust stock coolers.
