Same case but 11.4lb vs. 22.5lb ????!! - Page 2

They must want you to believe the silver one is actually all aluminium, although they're both steel chassis with aluminum front bezels and both weigh 21.49Lbs.

As for the price difference, guess they finally got tired of charging more for anything black.

The case can be light weight but once all that hardware goes inside? It's a heavy sucker anyway. I barely feel any difference between my steel case and aluminum case whenever I have to move 'em............then again, I got more stuff in my aluminum case than steel. Either way, they get to be heavy anyway.

LOL you noobs must have still missed the info on how one is made of steel, and the other is made of alumium, which thus explains the wieght difference. Refer to my last post ^^

Silver is aluminum, black is steel.

Threw that in just for good measure.

I prefer steel, if just feels sturdier IMO. I don't move my rig much, so it doesn't really matter to me that it weighs just barely south of 60 pounds.

Its Black steel vs Silver Aluminum.. just like the full sized Armors.
