pbsail1, heres what i gather from that idea. Its interesting idea but it sounds like it would work better with a vertical layout rather than a panorama style banner. The other thing with that idea unfortunately im not getting paid to do that kind of stuff in 3d. I could do it in 2d if you really wanted this idea.

In 3d the more things that are going on and effects the more time it takes. I'm capable and more than willing to help but I'm only one person working on this and it takes the time I have to manage carefully.

So basically I went through the trouble to get those weapons, I figure I'd use them. I had a few simple ideas for them but I liked the one below the best. I'm not really sure what your gona think of this, but I'm too tired to explain all technical and personal details that lead me this route. I work all day then work on this alot of my free time so my brain needs a break.. I'm going to find a video game or something to do for alittle so let me know, I'll check back..

btw: I have more guns but I can't cram them all in there, lol
I used alot nice stuff for this like depth of field and HDRI light. So if you notice things in the back are out of focus and things in the front are in focus thats the depth of field workin.

yeah it turned out pretty nice.. I didn't photoshop it to much because that would have taken away from the 3d work I did. There are some techinical things that bug me about it but I would have to point them out for you to notice. The real smoke grenades those are modeled after are a light olive green and i figured you guys wouldn't like that so I changed it to the darker army green you see. I also chose the center of the banner for the logo sinceI didn't want to cover the amo box and the smoke gernade with the D3 logos.

Soo I think thats about it.. If you guys like it and wanted prints or something other than a web banner I would have to rerender at 300res since the current is 72res.
I guess the last thing I gota work on/fix is the logo and spray.

Edit: pbasil1, i just relized I've seen a 3d studio max tutorial on how to make a explosion that looks just like the one behind the guy in your first picture post. Lol thats funny,, I bet someone used 3d max to render that guy and explosion!

Is there any way we could get the words "deadly . dominant . destructive" to show up better? Maybe if they were in the orginal neon green you made? That image is fantastic though. We're totally blown away. I wish the lettering on the bottom was easier to see, but other than that, you nailed it 100% man. I can't believe how well it turned out. Awesome job!

yeah i can prolly change it no prob. I havn't worked on it at all in the last few days because I have a big project Im working on and I wanted to wait till I get a responce from ya. But i'll try to make the changes in the next day or two. This project I'm working on now, is due tomorrow and then I need a break... Its been a tough week. Right after that I'll fix and finish the banner ex..

Take your time, seriously man. I know how it is to work all day and not want to do this stuff at night (especially for free). I'm a web designer, so making upgrades to our clan page can get tedious, and sometimes you just need a break. You're doing us a favor, so don't feel the need to work on this if you don't feel like it. If you decide to never touch it again, you've done more than enough. The depth of the lettering, and the background being out of focus, and the shading you've done is amazing, so I hope you don't think it's going unnoticed. We've had "professionals" do work for our company that isn't anywhere close to what you did here. I hope you're patting yourself on the back.

Also, our image size for our banner is 640x177, so if you can get it closer to that resolution-wise, then it won't looks misshapen or anything.

Also, if you want to "sign" your work, or put some sort of information in the photo to give yourself "props", than feel free. That way you get free exposure for doing the work, and people that visit our page will see your name. It's up to you how you want to "sign" it, or if you want to put some sort of contact info in the picture. If you want, I can put some info in the "ALT" of the image on the website, so your information shows up when someone hovers over the image. I just want you to get some credit for doing the work is all. Thanks again.

naa.. Honestly doing this isn't going to really make or break me or the studio getting a client. So its really no worry, its just small fry stuff. If I decide to sign it I would incorporate it secretly into something like ID info on the ammo box or the smoke grenades so I don’t ruin image for you guys. lol like i put DDD on the id of the smoke grenade.

anyways I'll make the changes here in a little

Ira-k: lol thanks, gota put that render farm to use, right
