Okay so my RAM finally came Friday and I installed it along with my CPU cooler.

RAM:

450

Heatsink:

450

Now I have a stable 4.2 Ghz overclock after 8 hours of prime95 with my new heatsink w00t w00t biggrin.gif !

Might be getting another 7770 for crossfire, or sell the 7770 to a friend and get the 7850. Who knows. I'm also going to get some fan splitters and run my intake on one switch, exhaust on another, and wire my CPU cooler directly to my Sentry.

and remember children, always install your backplate before trying to mount your CPU cooler!

I thought we agreed to never talk about that!!

Anyway, while mounting my CPU cooler, I realized none of the bolts would tighten it enough to the motherboard. Then, I look to my right and see the AMD backplate on my desk staring at me like an idiot. I shamefully installed the backplate and then powered up my system with no problem. Also, I'm thinking about painting my case or modding it again soon. I really enjoyed putting in my side panel window, but looking back I think of all the ways I could have done it better.

Just to put an importance list, you can vote on which one you want done first (Though some are not as feasible as others)

1. 7850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121623 Wanted more VRAM and horsepower for eventual upgrade to 1080p.

2. Paintjob / Mods

3. MOAR storage. I only have a 120gig ssd as of now. Had this in mind: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

4. New monitor. Nothing against the one I have, just looking for something better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236100

5. Peripherals: Kidding! No way I would get rid of what I'm typing and clicking on.

6. ___________________?____________________________ Suggestions. What you think I should get? I wanna know.

I'm probably going to throw sleeving in with paintjob and other mods because I have not decided what color I'm going to paint my case. I might Do a purple and black theme, or White and red. So indecisive at this point lol. And thanks for the comment!

Edit: Also considering doing a Tribes: Ascend theme, with navy blue and a gold trim and a Diamond Sword emblem next to the window on the left side panel. In that case I would probably just sleeve my PSU a solid black.

Small update, but I finally decided to get 3D Mark 11 and benchmark my Sasha. Here are the results.

Edit: Also got ATTO and did a benchmark on my SSD.

w00t w00t got a bunch of new stuff, kinda wanted to show it off in my build log biggrin.gif

1. My friend built a PC and we switched side panels. It looks super classy now I think and I'm keeping it that way.
2. I got a new Monitor! It's an LG E2351 and it looks awesome, I got it on sale from Sam's club lol.
3. New speakers! They are 2.1 and have really good bass. Sound awesome!\
4. If you look closely, I also got Blacklight: Retribution! Awesome game and soundtrack. Love all the gun options.

That's about it, I'm selling my 7770 for a 7870 soon, and getting a 1TB hard drive.

You should do a new case window on the black side. Just use round corners so you don't have U-channel joints.
