So you replaced at least 4 BIN modules individually?
I thought, that it is enough to replace just the RAID ROM module and the related modules will be updated automaticly.

No it doesnt update the MISC RAID ROMS automaticly I wish it did, So yeah I replaced two Option ROM's 4392 + 4393 then I replaced the two MISC RAID ROMS for each device ID, Total is 4 .BIN's I replaced. A little more complicated then reaplacing Intel's RAID ROM's, they have it easy smile.gif

Performance with raid5 and raid1 was so bad ( 80 MBps) that i'm using W7 software based mirroring for backup.
Not only that but when controller was in raid mode, SSD performance was very low: about 380 read put of 550.
Switching to AHCI resolved (more or less) SSD issue.

Any tests done with this ROM and raid1? Maybe single SSD even?

Thanx!

Garikfox, you are a gawd, actually made using a RAID 5 array using 6x Seagate hard drives work so much better. decent rates even with a broken array.

I must give great thanks to you for this garik fox. After much effort trying to get decent write speeds in raid 5 with the 990fx, I came accross this thread. This was just before I was going to throw in the towel and buy a hardware raid controller. This solved all of the issues with write speeds that I was having. THANK YOU!!! thumb.gif

Call me silly, but this begs me to ask.... IF these features were available on the 950 then why did ASUS not make them available? This seems like a silly mistake and a very large oversight for ASUS to make. I mean don't get me wrong, I am glad you posted the fix, but IMHO this is something that ASUS should have taken the time to do in the first place, especially for such a popular/high profile mobo....

These features are always there. The problem with Asus (and other companies) is that they're slow updating the latest OPROMs. Strangely Intel-branded boards seem to get the latest ROMs when they come available.
