It seems your 64 bit driver is not working, is it possible to use 32 driver to install windows 7 64 bit?

Been working on this all day today, found out that my iso of windows 7 was causing the 64 bit driver not to install. Re tried with a different iso it worked. Only thing is i didnt raid it because the amd sb raid is know to be **** for transfer read and write. So i reinstalled everything on one ssd and will use the other one for games/data.

I do have a quick question though, whenever i hit restart on my comp while i am in windows. It shuts down and after that nothing happens, i have to manually hold down the power button turn it off and then turn it back on is there something wrong here? Alot of times it will restart and come back up, i was wondering if it was something to do with the BIOS i am using which is your bios.

Thanks for your quick response btw and great bios/raid driver.

I have been using Garikfox's bios for quite a while, along with quite a few others, I haven't had any issues at all, nor have I heard of anyone else having any problems that were rooted in the bios.

Sounds like a Windows issue to me.

Question, do you guys recommend doing an raid 0 with 2 vertex 3 120gb? Currently i have amd sb950 controller? Will i see any performance increase from a single ssd installation?

Also alot of people are saying over time, your raid performance will decrease because trim is disabled when you raid ssd's?

If I had two Vertex 3's Id RAID 0 them for sure, just make sure to use a 64k stripe. On my Intel setup I use a 16k stripe, with the newer 11.xx Intel RAID ROM I use a 32k stripe

Use 128k/256k only if your not using it as a system drive and using it for video editing and or big files etc. smile.gif

^ ^ I'll second caustic's request, hope it is not annoying, but popular demand sometimes helps..! thumb.gif
