Hey y'all , hopefully someone out there can help..! My computer said that my "c" drive was "corrupt" yesterday so I did a clean win 7 install on it and left my other 2 mechanicals alone. I will list specs at the end of this. Since then, it bsod'd so many times and crashed while trying to just install the drivers that I formatted it again and re-installed it again. This time, I took it SLOW and installed one driver at a time starting with the most important, like normal. It did better but I still have had a few blue screens (memory management 6 times) and a couple others I dont remember oh one was som'n about acessing read only information or sum'n. Several programs have stopped responding like internet explorer and others . My windows update has been totally updated but it says that I have never ran or had any updates but I see them all on my program update list as being installed.?? It just is not acting right. I had none of these problems before, only that It said "c" was corrupt so I did a clean install to fix it. HELP!!! thanks

specs: Asrock fatality 990fx, AMD fx-8120 with both hotfixes, 60 gig corsair force ssd boot drive, sapphire 6870, dual sata burners, 2 mechanical hard drives, zalman 9900 max cpu cooler, 8 gig g-skill ripjaws-x 1600 ram (timings on memtest showed 4-5-5-15) even tho supposed to be 9-9-9-24, aerocool strike-x st case, ocz 550 watt power supply.

I doubt 1600 ram can be stable at 4-5-5-15.... So set them to stock voltage, timings and freq.

well, I didn't change them to that, it showed those when running memtest 86. On BIOS it shows the timings as being set at stock speeds...?

Manually input them instead of having it set to AUTO. Though, I'd think with CL 4, the system wouldn't even POST, let alone boot into windows. However, worth a shot.

Yeah, I don't know how to see what it is actually running at when I'm on the computer but I did take a picture of it while running memtest again so y'all can see if i'm reading this right. Thanks I'm gonna try to set it manually, but when I did that before, It kept crashing. I can't install Asrock x-fast RAM as well but had to uninstall it in safe mode becuz it crashed it on the "welcome" screen.

look up your memory see what the timing should be and manually set them to that cause as they said theres no way it should be stable at 4-5-5-15 i think 9-9-9-24 is normal for ddr3
