I know it's not what you would expect..

but have you thought about widening the hole on the outer screwhole of shroud, screwing that one in, then ziptie the rest to it?
Just a thought.

Ghetto-fabulous.

Go to the hardware store/machining shop and get custom matching diameter screws for cheap.

If you can't find your bolts, try threaded rod from the hardware store and cut it to desired length. Take one of the bolts with you, find a nut that will fit it, and you now know the type (size) of rod that you need. This stuff is usually sold in 12" sections and also in either 24" or 36".

Prior to cutting, thread a nut on to the rod, make your cut with a hacksaw, using as fine cut blade as you can get (most teeth per inch), then unscrew the nut and this will "clean out" any burrs left in the threads from your cut.

Repeat the process for as many sections as you need. Pick up 32 matching nuts to make your 16 "bolts".

This. Besides you'll have less vibration with this method.

Where I get all my custom screws when the stock ones aren't cutting it or are missing thumb.gif
post #8 of 10
my local "truevalue" hardware store, they have all kinds off sizes and lengths. I bought them for a sandwich with 2x 25mm shrouds and 2x 35mm fans but I couldnt fit it in my case. If you go, then stock up thumb.gif

If you don't feel like cutting, your local HW store should have some. I picked up some 6-32 machine screws at a Lowe's for the same purpose.
