Setting up Koolance 402x2/452x2

Thread Starter
After setting up my pumps in the Koolance dual-bay reservoir, I was curious as to what setup I should use for maximum flow.

I saw Martin's review on the tubing but in his diagram it doesn't show him only using one inlet and one outlet.

To sum it up, the reservoir has four inlets, two on the top and two on the bottom. The inlet on the top is ABOVE the outlet. The inlet on the bottom is BELOW the outlet.

My question here is whether I should set the reservoir up in serial (so the water throughout the loop is all the same) by using one inlet and one outlet, or by using all four?

I'm confused. headscratch.gif

I believe running the pump serial (by using one inlet and one outlet,) will be the best result! iirc marinlabs mention it as well.

Yup, you do however need the 180 connector to make it look cleaner. Although it's not a necessity.

http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=1198

I use one of those in the bottom 2 ports with my 452x2.

I spent a bit of time researching the ideal series configuration in this res and ended up with, Inlet at top right (looking at rear) which flows into res. Short res seperator fitted to combine sides. Flows through first pump, through 180 connector and bypasses second side of res (have to fit extra acrylic piece that comes with 180 connector kit) and through the second pump.

Assuming you have the v1.3 res.

Sorry.

Pic quality is a bit crap but you should get the idea. The fitting top right is res inlet. Fitting top left is second pump outlet. 180 connector in bottom 2 ports.
