AHCI Major Lag (Loading OC profile in bios)

Thread Starter
Last night I replaced my TIM on my heatsink. After I got everything back together, my computer was being a huge pain when coming back from sleepmode (it would freeze - I would need to hit the restart button a few times before it would load to bios).

In the process of fixing this, I ended up needing to load my OC profile from back before I had my SSD. I forgot to switch to AHCI and booted up into windows (thankfully, the sleep problem went away after I corrected my CPU voltage).

Unfortunately, I switched back to AHCI and now Windows 7 is unbelievably laggy! I think I got .4 mbs on AS SSD in the first test (I quit because it was too slow). I tried installing drivers for AHCI from AMD's website, but no avail.

It was working perfectly fine just yesterday (before I loaded the OC profile). Any ideas on what is causing this crazy lag? (It goes back to a usable speed in IDE)

Sig rig.

No idea what I did, but it is up to full speed again tongue.gif
Just put it in sleep mode for a few hours. Hmm..this is what I did to fix it last time.

Apparently SSDs just like to sleep ^_^

Thread - Done.
