The "degradation" is grossly exaggerated. In fact all Sandforce based SSDs have garbage collection good enough to take care of all of the performance issues and degradation of any RAIDed Sandforce-based SSDs. I have been running Vertex 2 120GB SSDs in RAID-0 for a year without any issues, and have now been running Corsair Force GT 120GB SSDs in RAID-0 for a few months without any fault or any degradation in performance or otherwise.

If your drive(s) will fail it will have nothing to do with them being used in RAID. Just enjoy your setup and stop worrying thumb.gif
