Yes PLEASE! I just ordered it for import, it's a region free disc so I think I'm about to get another crash course in Japanese (Full Metal Alchemist english subbed was my first). I missed the memo so in case I wasn't the only one GO GET IT!

If you don't know what monster hunter is, imagine the best RPG ever now imagine the biggest boss battles in those RPG's, then make them real time, 3d, co-op, take away the story and make armor and weapons from the hide of the monsters you just killed.

Also anyone that is looking for an experienced hunting partner send a PM, I should get it in a week or two.

I think it's safe to say if it hasn't hit the PSP by now it isn't going to happen. I spent an hour or two trying to find any indication it will end up here with no luck. I have played more than 600+ hrs across MH, MHF, MHFU and MH Tri that I really don't think I will have any issues with the japanese version, beside there is a good site for translating.
Since Dark Souls my PS3 is just gathering dust so time to get some hours logged on it.

Most likely will not happen. MHP3rd came out in Japan over a year ago, and the HD version came out for the PS3 in fall 2011 (pretty sure). Had mine pre-ordered and imported when it launched. I thought I could deal with the kanji, but I just can't do it. I ended up just playing MHFU again (and put it on my Vita which is beautiful). And now I started to play Tri again, giving it another shot, couldn't get into it before for some reason but that is quickly changing.

Hopefully the announcement tomorrow for the new Vita games will in fact include MH3 for Vita. Although the leaked postings seem to be false so far as the box art on play.com was a Photoshopped picture from MHF2. So I am not getting my hopes up. I would re-purchase the HD version if it were localized, but I doubt it ever will be unless the Vita announcement includes MHP3rd regionalized as was rumored to happen when the game was first announced.

Furthermore, I am absolutely in love with MH. Currently HR6 in MHFU (170 hours logged) and HR 18 in Tri (only 70 hours logged). So I am down to play whenever I am free, which isn't often these days unfortunately.

I have a PSP but only really used it for MH games, I will be skipping the vita unless one falls on my lap or something. I actually am looking forward to the challenge of playing a Japanese game, I'm sure I will have my tablet on pretty much most of the time with MH3rd translation website. I still wish they would release the code to run servers for the OG MH on PS2 but that isn't ever going to happen... Man all these PC elites don't know what they are missing with MH games, a true challenge that can only be compared to the difficulty of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls.
I am also looking forward to the extensive weapons selection that is supposed to be in 3rd, I am itching for some dual sword action.

Well, I'm loving my Vita, but after today's announcement of Vita games I am very disappointed. The only game announced that interested me was Phantasy Star. I will just stick with Tri, I may give the Japanese a try again one day but I have to much on my hands right now. Too much schoolwork, playing 6 different games (MH Tri, MHFU, Uncharted 2, Dark Souls, Motorstorm RC) and I just started a new book the other night on top of 3 books in my philosophy class...I don't need to play a thirds Monster Hunter game and have to translate at the same time LOL.

I really enjoyed Tri but I sold it along with my Wii after the 2010 christmas season. I was lucky too 'cause now you could probably get a Wii for $50. It was certainly the shortest of all the MH games since the rarest materials weren't nearly as rare as the OG MH plates. I'm not a huge fan of the switch axe, it always seems too gimickey for me I am a GS and DS kinda player.
Oh yeah and get a classic controller or the MH limited one, Wii motion controls are retarded for MH games.

Ya, Tri's single player is SHORT. I'm only HR18 so I don't have decent gear yet, almost full set Rathian armor and the thunder element LS (Thunderclap I think). I stuck with GS a long in MHFU then switched over to LS and started dominating. Recently I've been dipping my hand into hammers as well that had dragon element and was owning house with that. And I have never tried the Wiimote for Tri, just stuck to the class controller that the game came with lol. Heard it was horrible though so I didn't even bother.
