Folding for free - Page 2

It's probably a better idea to run your folding rigs off the grid, and install larger, more efficient panels for use by your home. Most electricity companies have an incentive to "sell back" energy when you don't use all the electricity you generate. Basically, don't bother directly powering folding rigs with solar panels. Install solar panels to offset the power draw on your monthly electricity bill. thumb.gif

Wow alot of posts in the time it took me to write this.

AC is what kills (even with very low amperage).Look up the battle in deciding if the first grid in the US would be AC or DC between Edison and Tesla(Teslas boss was Westinghouse). Edison put on many electrocution displays where he killed large animals with AC in an attempt to scare the public (Edison was pro-DC).The 60HZ(which is 60 cycles per second) used in AC messes with your heart beat (which is roughly 60 beats per minute at rest, probably a bit higher when you are sitting in "old sparky").

Yep I agree. Going to be hard and costly to store all the power you need throughout the day. Much better to sell off what you are unable to use during the day and then pay for it at night. You can even make money doing this if your power draw is less then the solar production
